Background

Delma joined Tupicoffs in 2019 and has been a financial planner for over 20 years and is active within the Financial Planning community.

Delma previously ran her own financial planning practice where the most important aspect was to help clients transform their life into the one that they desired. Delma worked closely with her clients to help them achieve both their financial and lifestyle goals over both the short and long term.

Community involvement is very important to Delma, she has been actively involved with the Financial Planning Association both locally and nationally since 1999 including being a Board Member for 6 years. Delma has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award and is a Life Member of the Financial Advice Association of Australia.

Delma had a monthly segment on 612 Brisbane Evenings, “Talking Finance”. Delma has also been interviewed by the Courier Mail, Sunday Mail and the Ask the Expert Section of the Money magazine and was also featured in the books “All About the Money Honey” by Julianne Dowling and “Separated by Work” by Kirsty O’Callaghan.

My Financial Advice Philosophy

Delma believes in finding out what a person’s true goals and values are and sees this as essential in developing a truly individual financial strategy for her clients.

The most important part of the financial process is making sure I understand what your individual needs and objectives are. For me, it’s all about you and I love nothing more than helping you to achieve your goals and gain a better understanding of your financial situation. I am a firm believer in knowledge is power, so being able to simplify the complex so my clients fully understand their strategy is very important.

I enjoy being a trusted adviser to my clients so they can use me as a sounding board for their decisions. Being an independent financial planner allows me to always put the interests of my clients first so I can make a meaningful positive difference in their lives.

Financial Planning Qualifications

Delma holds a Bachelors degrees in Economics and Business majoring in Accounting and has also completed the Diploma of Financial Planning.

Delma has also achieved the Certified Financial Planner® certification, a standard recognised internationally.

Delma has been a director of the Financial Planning Association, and is now a Fellow and a Life Member. She is also a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
